Get a detachable sissybar and detachable rack. Then get a T-Bag luggage or some type of rolling luggage.
This is what I use:

The fact that it rolls and has a telescopic handle makes it convenient when I get to the hotel. I also like that it is wide and not too tall in order to keep the center of gravity lower.

I just don't get why people like you waste your time with stupid posts like this... If the dude wants to ride to Sturgis or ride across the country on his Breakout, I guess you would recommend that he just stay home b/c his bike isn't a touring bike? I guess we know what some of the posters on here do... Or do you guys just trailer your bikes everywhere?? Posts like this are so lame. Seriously, do you people just ride your bikes to the bar to look cool?
For what it's worth, I love my Saddlemen BR3400- it can hold a helmet, laptop, and about a week's worth of clothes if needed. I use a quick detach sissy bar, and quick detach 1/4 fairing on my bike- They both can be off the bike in 10 seconds total.
