Air Ride Suspension Questions

Who's got one and how do you like it?

I need clearance for my pipes and quite frankly I wouldn't mind a little plusher ride.

What brand do you have....how much was it....how hard to install....will it still lower the bike down as low as a lowering kit.......and last how is the quality?

Hammer, did you happen to run across the guys from Legend's Airsuspension when you were at Myrtle? They were set up behind the Harley dealer. I talked for quite a while with them. They have dropped the price on their original setup. It's down from $1700, to $1100. That includes the compressor. A buddy of mine runs it on his Amen chopper. It is a sweet setup. I just don't have the extra money laying around right now, or I'd already have it. With his, when it's completed lowered, you can sit the fender to within 1/8" of the tire. Add some air, and it rides like a dresser! Really nice setup.

Is there a way to bring it low enough where the bike sits on the frame?

I have the Tricky Air Suspension. While the ride is nice, I sadlycannot recommmend them due to poor customer service. They have never responded to repeated email questions I haveasked aboutsome leakage problems.

I run the Platinum Air system. Ride height and ride smoothness are adjustable with this setup. Good luck

Legend here - three years no problems - fully adjustable (right down to the frame) - about 5 inches of adjustability - slammed rides like a rigid - fully pumped and you have a smooth comfy ride. Believe they have had some changes including no longer supplying gauge and toggle switch moves to bars - I have gauge and toggle swith nicely mounted off rocker box bolt.

Progressive Airtail...only been running it for about 3 months, but so far no problems at all. Voodoo's bike looks sweet with the Legends and probably has more drop/lift range, but from what i understand...and someone can correct me if i'm wrong, butif you spring a leak or bust a bag, the shocks sag to lowest position? the airtail has a spring shock and an air shock, so if a line busts the spring shock returns the system to stock riding position and still provides some support...that's the only reason i went with progressive over legends. this pic has 'em lowered some, but could probably go down about another inchmax.

WHere did you get those from, how much? Were they easy to fit? Looking to do the same to mine down here in Australia.
