Default Bolt in the middle of the inner primary cover

This weekend I changed out the primary cover on my 2015 Breakout. I just went out in my garage and noticed for the first time a big black torque head bolt in the middle of the primary cover I removed.

It looks like this is something that I should have put on the new one I installed is this correct? If so, it looks like I will be removing and re-installing. How fun!

Thanks in advance.

No I'm pretty sure he is talking about the big bolt that goes horizontally about dead middle of the outer primary towards the inner. Not really sure what it is for...

Yes, this is what I am talking about. I guess I will ask the dealership tomorrow to shed some light on it.

Thanks

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure the only reason that bolt is there, is for the manufacturing / chroming process, I don't believe it serves any other purpose.

That is brilliant and makes perfect sense. Thank you!

Interesting... I'm curious as to how, with no moving parts, and I don't believe it bottoms on the inner primary.

That bolt is listed on the diagram breakdown but only listed as "Screw, Primary Cover #60813-07"
