Default seat fitment

does anybody know whether an 86 evo softail standard seat will fit my 92 fatboy??
I've found a bargain online, but don't wanna get it shipped incase it doesn't fit.
it has the same bolts either side for fitment however i'm worried tht the neck (front part) of the seat will be too narrow and won't slide into the front section there
thanks in advance for any advice

All I could find was Mustang seats shows the same part # for both those years of Softail.
Good luck with it.
