What was the year that they made the best improvement to the heritage softail classic. I am looking to upgrade but dont have the $$ for a new one. Right now I have a sportster and in 04 they put rubber motor mounts on the sportster. Just wanted to go to the table of knowledge. Any info will help.
thanks
Thats a hard question to answer. Best improvement as far as what? Engine, trans, suspension? I owned an '03 and now an '07. Both are excellent bikes. The '03 got a little better gas mileage but the '07 has more torque and an extra gear. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them so long as they were maintained properly.
I think starting in 2000 the counter balanced engine came out. I have ridden both and you definately will know the difference.
Ditto that - Had an EVO fatboy, now a TC88B Heritage... gimme the TC88B any day for cruisin (I'm not a performance junkie, stock or stage1 is fine with me). 2000 or newer would be my recommendation.
Just love the sweetness of the TC88B on long rides !I still cannot believe how the engine jumps around the frame on my mates rubber mounted T88 RK Custom when its at the lights.
