Double check what the master cylinder cap calls for in regards to brake fluid. The two are not interchangeable. And depending on the tuner you get, you may need to keep the O2 sensors, as they provide feedback. And remember, trans and primary are separate on the big twins!

Thanks, double checked the master cylinder caps and it says dot 4. I guess I'll make a run to the store today and pick some up. I got all my other fluids done yesterday.

I would suggest taking it to a certified HD mechanic, or a dealer, and tell them your concerns? They should be able to go over the systems. It may cost a bit, but the peace of mind you'll get should be worth it. Consider it added to the cost of the bike, and you still got a great deal. Nice bike.

Before installing your pipes take them to a muffler shop and have them weld in some 18mm O2 bungs. It can be done for short money and allow you to use better tuners that use O2 sensors...

Ditto on what dfwhockey said, I got the same pipes cheap an just went to a local muffler shop an they welded the bungs on for me. Your story is very similar to mine, found my 12 Deluxe with only 4000 miles on it guys wife never rode it. I've definitely rectified that problem since getting it!

Yeah I got the o2 bungs, just have to mark them on the new pipes similar to the stock pipes position. I was checking prices to do this and its anywhere from $145 to $45 to do this. Such a big difference in price.

Check out the V&H fp3 since you already have their exhaust. And what about an air cleaner?

You may concider selling the take off parts to fund the new mods?
