Hey guys, I just got a black denim Fatboy Lo a few weeks ago and I need to get some sort of storage to put on it. I really like the look of the distressed brown leather swingarm and tool bags that are out there, but I am not sure how they would look on an all black bike. Does anyone have brown bags on their bike I could see pictures of? Or any opinions would be fine too. Just don't want to buy brown leather and then not like it. I just think the brown would break up the black a little and would look good. Maybe I'm wrong tho...

 

I don't think pics are gonna help you.... it's gonna be 1 of those things where your gonna have to go somewhere and hold it up against it to make a decision. Personally I think brown looks good paired with a red/burgundy or even a blue.

 

As long as they match your boots, purse & belt...you're Ok.


JK, brown can look good on a black bike, but (IMO) along with other brown accompaniments (e.g. seat & leather/vinyl accessories). Just need to ensure they all match...somewhat.

 

I'm all for brown leather on bikes if it matches the paint. Black will match. Brown seat and it would really pop. My old man did brown leather on his green and black soft tail Springer and it looks amazing.

 

I was thinking that... If I were to get a brown seat along with a solo swingarm bag it would kind of tie it together. I'll have to see if I can find a brown bag local and set it on to see how it looks.

 

I know a guy with a black deniem road king with brown seat and bags and its awesome. just cant clash black and brown leathers together!

 

That brown distressed leather that Indian uses on their Scout seats is phenomenal and I think it would look mint on a flat black Lo. I almost went that route myself. Corbin has that leather for their seats but I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a matching solo bag with the same grade of leather. I've seen the brown solo bag on a black denim Lo and it looks real nice.
