One way to fix a gas tank whammy
I've had this bike for more than 14 years. I really like it, and it has gone through lot's of changes over the years. In all that time, and through a couple of long road trips it's never gotten a mark on it.
About a month ago I did a dumbass thing and let another bike fall over against it. Fortunately, it didn't dent the tank. However, it left a very noticeable scratch down through the primer right by the high-side emblem.
My option's seemed to be repaint the tank, repaint the entire bike, or pretend it wasn't there. About the same time there was a thread on here about "Tattooed Ride" decals. I decided to give it a try.
I'm pleased with the results. The scratch is still there, but unless you know where it is and are looking for it you don't see it.
I'm happy with the results.
