The Tribar is a true plug and play setup. With only a minor bit of wrenching to get it bolted up.
No it does not come with an equilizer, however none is required for a brake light only turn signals need them.
Yes it does come with an integral plate mounting, but I though it left that aluminumfoil plate the state give me very exposed to any rocks and debris that the tire kicked up.
So I modified mine to accept a 1/8" thick aluminum plate cut and drilledto match the state issued plate as a reinforcing for it. Now I don't have to worry about rocks and other things getting kicked up into the plate and bending it, or having the rocks hit that nice looking, and expensivelight assembly.

Have fun and ride safe. [sm=biker2.gif]

Hey Poorboy, did I mention what good taste you have in LED tail lights? I reckon you should get the kuryakyn led turn signals... they suit that tail light REAL NICE and are great looking from side on and behind.... like the girl from Sunday night here!! As for the size of it, because it is chrome I actually LIKE it... don't know if I would change it for a low profile if they bought one out... I put the kuryakyn front turn signals on too last week!

PS: You should get one of those chrome framed laydown licence plate holders now too! Your bike is lookin' GOOD !

Hey Murf1,

I have the new HD LED tail light with a smoked lense cover. It is very bright during the day and at night it is just sick-bright. The white light topside for the license plate is also very bright at night and it really lights-up my white Florida tag well.

This was a plug & play install, no load equalizer was required.

The only down-side is that it is exacly the same size as the ugly original red one. I wish it was a little more low-profile, but I'll take the extra brightness back there anyway!

Thanks man! I told you I'd have to copy that one!Overall, greatchoice!

yea the lay-down frame is next (I think).

Just to bust on you; why do your photos still show those reflectors? Your bike is awesome, pretty sure that it will take a long time for me to be "done". So many great ideas out there.

Laydown might look better than the sidemount one that I have... I will wait until I see yours to decide As for the reflectors they have been history and thrown in the bin since the day after those photos were taken. Since then I have done:

chrome voltage regulator cover
detachable windscreen
detachable sissy bar / rack / pillion backrest (blinker relocation kit etc)
chrome detachable mounting hardware covers
chrome clover leaf licence plate hole cover
smoked kuryakyn turn signals (front)
chrome hand control covers and switches
chrome front brake fluid reservoir cover
inner liners for toolboxes
chrome levers
left and right side chrom toolboxes
chrome oil cooler

Have received my new wheels and they get put on in a week or two and will post new pics of bike then! Wouldn't mind one of those fender bibs that hogdeluxe makes on here... but don't know if his deluxe ones will fit a fatboy!

Note: Please don't anybody add the price of those up as I don't wanna know!!

Think I can start diverting money back to my home loan now I was hoping the market would fall out here like it did over there so I can buy a few more places... they are WAY too expensive here... a SH*T house in a crap suburb here is like $300,000 (with 3rd world import neighbours to boot!). You have to ask how dumb are we that we put up with this crap ! ... sorry, I get a bit worked up on that subject!

Anywayz, rest assured the reflectors is GONE!!

I'd go with the HD tri-bar light, if it'll fit your bike. I've got one, and I really like it.

What he said. The license plate light on top is so bright my reflectorized Ohio plate jumps out at nigh. Impossible to be missed. Plug and play, no equalizers or other crap necessary. I have to update my sig pic, now all smoked on the rear.
