2006 heritage. odometer and speedometer lights come on, nothing else. Starter seems disabled

Does it click at all?

nothing happens. The odometer and the speedometer lights come on and that's it. I replaced fob battery and charged the main bike battery.

Checked fuses also

Check the ignition switch connections.

I see. I had a similar thing when I first got my bike, where I would hear a single click for each push of the starter button. The fix was to remove and brush the battery connections. The positive side on mine had visible corrosion.

But with no starter response at all, I don't know. I'm sure some far more knowledgeable posters will chime in.

Are you talking about switch on tank or handlebar. Are they difficult to take apart and check?

Do you have a clutch safety switch on your bike to prevent starting when in gear, unless you pull the clutch? Could be that it's defunct. Bike should start in neutral then though.
