Can anyone tell me how, if at all, the crotch coolers effect engine temps?? I can't ever get an answer to this question

Yeah, I have a oil cap/temp gauge that runs around 190-210 degrees so it's gonna get a little warm, lol. I believe the crotch coolers are just a piece of leather that goes between your legs and the oil tank. (kind of like a cooking pot holder)

They shield you from the heat and when you're moving they channel air over the rear head, jug, exhaust and oil bag.

Based on my experience minimal but a big improvement in rider comfort.

The only heat I've ever felt riding was from the sun and the outside temperature. I've only felt a little engine heat when I was stopped at a light and that 30 seconds never bothered me.

Four Harley's at different times for me four Capt Itch crotch coolers for me. Great product, great service and great people. Crotch cooler only deflects the heat doesn't change the engine temp. FYI rarely do you see one of Capt Itch coolers for sale because they work so well no one gets rid of them

Ahhh the classic horse shoe oil tank, It's gone forever now. It's classic look and the heat it puts out is just
Part of the deal. I love mine.
