got my 2018 fatbob 114!

Erwin,
I apologize, I gave you some bad information here. Early last week I was told that the 114" maps were ready to go, which was true at the time. However, in the days after we discovered that our 114" bike we used to make maps had problems with the oil pump. It's now at the dealer getting a new engine. For this reason, the maps we built at the time may be skewed and we are re-working them. Unfortuantely it looks like we aren't going to have maps for the 114" Fat Bob until after Thanksgiving-ish.

I highly doubt that Harley will ever come out and say they are having issues. Been seeing numerous posts on here about oil pumps and engines crapping out on the new M8 engines. I’m hoping mine ends up as one of the good ones. Hoping that reverting back to the old stock map if I ever have an issue will suffice as far as warranty work. I know my old Iron 883 engine was replaced via warranty, I ended up stepping it up to the 1200 after that diagnosis. We will see.

If your bike ran great without a tune, then leave it as that. Dont waste your money because I believe that the CAT's are in the exhaust now and what you did was just added a non CAT slip-op but a FULL systems instead.
Ride it for a thousand miles then check your spark plugs if they are running lean or not.

Mirrors inverted
Yep, I have kept the mirrors inverted for almost 600 miles. It’s perfect. I fully used to where to look and my visibility is better than ever. I like the way it looks and will probably keep it this way until I replace the handle bars with either risers or T bars but that’s not for a while.

As a follow-up, I put a hundred miles on today and have come to the conclusion that the long-stem mirrors help but they're just not good enough, so I ordered some mirror extensions. Now, I googled the Krators and found them at like $38 in black, but then some site called "BangGood" said they had a set of mirror extenders for $11.49 (shipped!) The picture looks exactly like the Krators I had, so... heck, for $11 bucks, I ordered it. If I get 'em and they're any good, I'll report back. If I don't get 'em or they're garbage... we shall never speak of this again...

Okay, an update on the banggood mirror extenders: they showed up today. That's 11 days from the date of order, not too bad but yeah, don't expect 'em overnight. They look to be the exact same product as the Krators were, although I'm going from memory on that.
The mounting hardware that ships with them includes two small and four larger flat washers. I can tell you from experience, that's not good enough; you need lockwashers to keep the mirrors oriented properly especially at 60mph+ when the wind pressure starts to push on them pretty hard. The Harley mirror extenders include two flat washers and four internal-tooth lockwashers. I will replace the larger flat washers with some Home Depot 5/16" internal-tooth lockwashers before installing.
Other than that, it looks like it's a go: mirror extenders for under $12, shipped to your door...
