I saw one yesterday too. Had a good long look. I have been kinda thinking about a second bike to go along with my 2017 SG CVO, since i’ve been missing being out in the wind, something lighter and more basic. Most of my riding is out on the backroads and highways. This thing suits me fine. I thought the Switchback looked a bit awkward to me (all due respect to Switchback owners, just my opinion) and the Heritage is too adorned for my taste. Thought about a Fatboy with added bags but figured that big back tire would make the transition from my cvo to fatboy a bit severe when going from one to the other. I love having bags for minor storage, but don’t need a real touring bike since I have the SG. I’ll see how the cowling works, but i’ll Probably leave it off most of the time. I like that it has the inverted fork, abs, security and most of all, cruise control.

So I ended up buying it. It’s gonna be tough since I won’t get to ride it for another 5-6 months, so to minimize my boredom I’m throwing in a stage III. My luck by the time I get to ride it, they will have come out with an updated version that has a 114” for way less than it’ll cost me to do the stage.

Anyway, if I can figure out how to post pics I will, but by now you all know what they look like. I went with the silver... I like the contrast with the black details (although I’ll likely change out that 2-tone pipe). Also, my cvo is black so I wanted something different.

I figure they will sell a lot of these. Has a fairly classic harley cruiser look, sounds good with the 2-1 exhaust, has some utility without being a full on tourer, so for a guy like me who just wants kind of a dual purpose bike, this fits the bill. It would also work for someone who wants to bomb around town with the option to carry gear securely or take the odd weekend trip. Definitely not a two up touring bike, but for light duty, it should be just fine.

It’s going to be a long winter.

Cheers

R

Without bags

Without cowling

Looks clean from the back

I like how the turn lights are tucked in

Anyway, like I said, I’ll probably leave the cowling off most of the time. The headlight is really bright from what I could see on the sales floor. Nice looking piece too... bike looks great without the little faring.

I’ll be changing a few things, like the grips and pegs, etc, haven’t decided yet, but I have 5 months to get it sorted.

Cheers

I was in Montana last weekend and had a chance to see one or two.
Not a bad "sport" HD... like a mini batwing
The fairing reminded me of the one I had on my Vision (back in the early 80's).
Living in Wyoming at the time it made more difference than you would think.
I would expect it to break some of the wind that would other wise hit you in the chest.
But not much else, beside looks.

They had a Gun Ship Grey CVO in the back that thing is sexy

But what is the target for this bike? Dyna buyers perhaps?
To me it looks like a bike someone who wants to own a bagger but doesn't have the cash. I dunno, maybe I'm way off.
