On my 2017 FLSS, I would like to change EU rear lights (amber LED) to US red lights. What do I need and how can I process?

I had it done to my 17 Heritage classic last time I was at the dealership.
The ecm would need reprogrammed so that the turn signal lights will come on with the brake light. I wouldn't go cutting and splicing wires, it won't work right.

 

Don't know why the ECM would need reprogramming. It sure didnt on my 07. It's a simple module that you plug into the existing wiring harness under the seat. The kit also comes with the two red tail light lenses..

Edit: Here you go. It says it fits the 2017 FLSS. Don't order it, just ride up to Harley and get it. You can also talk to someone about if if you need to.

I installed the HD conversion kit n my Night Train and added LED's in Turn signals and run/brake tail light. You can definitely see me from the rear now! I highly recommend this mod

 

You could do it either way I suppose. Add a module or have the ecm reprogrammed for it. I had mine in getting serviced so while they were in there (ecm) they changed it for free.

 

I was unaware that the ECM can be reprogramed for run/brake/turn functions on the rear turn signals.......

I had my rear signal lights programmed to brake/turn lights when I bought my 2017 HSC. Then I installed Custom Dynamics red rear LED lights.

 

just wondering why you are making the switch, I thought all turn signals in the EU were supposed to be amber. I'm moving to Poland soon and was happy mine already had amber turn signals.

 

I do not know what year it started, but yes I have a 17.
