Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the responses. I didn’t think there was an issue, but it never hurts to ask.

Definitely not an issue for me. I get 160+ miles on a tank on the highway (114" Fat Bob), which is further than I want to ride without stopping anyway....

Damn that range 150 miles is more then I get from my 1200 Custom with the big four gallon tank before fuel light comes up. Getting more tempted for a 2018 Street Bob.

Having 2 other harleys I can tell you that while the smaller tank is not a deal breaker for me, you definitely notice it when you're out riding.

The bike runs really lean from the factory, so you a lot of these guys quoting these insane gas mileage amounts is BS, unless you are planning to never tune your bike. If and when you do decide to put on a tune (NOT staying at factory 14.6 lean as ****), you can expect gas mileage to drop a bit, which will make the smaller tank an issue. Again, not a deal breaker necessarily.

I think Harley could have achieved the same look and shape of the tank but added another gallon of capacity. Wish they had.

Hoping to be done w/ my stage 1 soon. I'll report back with new numbers when I have em.

Fat bob owner here.. fantastic bike.. the tank is fine and quite easy to modify to add another 2 litres or so (25miles), have a search on here.. I’ve gone stage two. Definitely no regrets.

Thanks everyone. I went ahead s pulled the trigger on the new street bob. It’s nothing special just a base model (vivid black) with abs. I’m happy with my choice and look forward to many years of enjoyment. With this being my first harley, I wasn’t prepared to spend too much more on a bike I can only enjoy 5 months a year.
