Question Whaat tools to carry on my Heritage

As noted previously, I am a new HD owner. In researching this subject I reviewed a number of threads on this forum, started by other newbies, but nobody really answered the question with specifics"

What tools should I carry on my ride for emergency repairs or just to be readibly available for simple maintenance?

I have determined that I need the following Items:
1 A spark plug gap tool
2 A 3/8" sparkplug socket w/ hex head
3. A small Vicegrip plier w/ curved jaw
4 A multi ratchet bit driver w/ #1 & #2 Philips bits, Flat head bit and a series of Torx bits (but don't know what sizes other than T27)
5 A mini flashlight
6 A tire pressure gauge
7 A small razor blade knife
8 Zip ties, Electrical tape, Emery Cloth and a few light rags seem to be obvious choices also.

With out testing the size of every Bolt and Nut I might have to work on, I would like to know the following:
1 What are the sizes of open end wrenches most needed to be carried?
2 What are the sizes of box wrenches most needed to be carried?
3 Should a ratchet socket driver be carried? If so, what size and what size sockets are most needed?
4 What size Allan Wrenches are most needed?
5 What Torx bits (other than T27) are most needed?

I know I can buy premade sets from HD, Cruz and others but reviews indicate these sets are poor quality for the price and/or include tools not needed.

I would prefer to compile my own set with brand tools having a price to match the quality I can live with.

I'm starting with an empty tool bag. If I missed something important, let me know.

Thanks

I carry the Cruztools HD kit. Other than the tool kit, I carry the Stop-n-go tire plug kit with the mini compressor, and the HD valve extension hose makes adding air much easier.

Sorry, but I had to laugh when I read the OP's list. Reminds me of what I carried when I rode 70's Sportsters and Bonnevilles. Today, the only thing I carry is a tire plug kit, cell phone and credit card.

You will soon notice that a big tool roll is no needed on these bikes, is heavy, cumbersome and takes up too much room in these small saddle bags.
Where you do your riding is an omportant consideration....if you ride in Big Bend National Park then your list is too short...

If you ride in mostly cities, and rural settings near cities, then yoour list is too long.

On frequent long distance tours, get AAA or some other road side assistance plan.

Carry one of these (see photo).
An 8 inch pliers.
An 8 inch Crescent Wrench
A roll of good electrical tape.
A flashlight.

A AAA membership card.
Cell Phone.
A decent 9mm handgun.
A good pocket knife.
A rubber.

---------------------------------------------------
1 A spark plug gap tool (do this at home, never will need it on the road - it's not a dirt bike)
2 A 3/8" sparkplug socket w/ hex head (have never had to take out a plug on the side of the road in 50+ years)
3. A small Vicegrip plier w/ curved jaw (perhaps)
4 A multi ratchet bit driver w/ #1 & #2 Philips bits, Flat head bit and a series of Torx bits (but don't know what sizes other than T27) (The Harley tool pictured below)
5 A mini flashlight (ok)
6 A tire pressure gauge (do this at home, but I run a TPMS)
7 A small razor blade knife (pocket knife has more uses)
8 Zip ties, Electrical tape, Emery Cloth and a few light rags seem to be obvious choices also. (emery cloth? Going to sweat solder some pipes?)

Roll of duct tape and a can of WD40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40

Actually, whatever you need to get at the battery and get it out.

Lithium battery pack that comes with jumper cables and has USB ports so you can recharge a phone.
