Default Taiwan unbranded 422 shocks softail

I found these on ebay they are under half the price look the same and have the features of the real progressive suspension 422's . Has anyone bought these ? Should I trust them ? Do you think the progressive ones are made in in Taiwan and just branded for progressive cheers Jeff

I've said this many times. There is a huge difference between components manufactured under contract for US manufacturers. Versus those designed, mNufactured under a Chinese company. Especially, when they are trying to clone something.

But, to each his own. I'd find another place to save a few $100 bucks.

Oh yeah, did you all read about "Claire's" the mall retailer specializing in stuff for young girls? Their makeup was found to contain asbestos. Oh yeah, guess where it's made?

Figure they'll last about 2 months or 2 or 3 serious potholes before they blow a seal. Went through this with guys buying Custom Chromes cheaper import softail shocks.

ya your right , if i buy them I get a NFG warranty and will not know the quality until they arrive and I will be back where i started . Just like the Altima shocks they are garbage and if I bought the progressive 422 heavy duty ones in the first place I would of saved 110 USD plus the shipping charge to Canada ..

I can tell you this. A while back I bought progressive 412 "replica" shocks for my Shovel, off eBay. They were such garbage I had already made up my mind to trash them before I made it back to the house. And I left with a spanner wrench in my pocket and tried every setting. Buy the Progressives. Years from now you'll be replying to threads on this forum to some guy with the same question. And you'll be able to say..... "I asked the same question years ago and my 422's are still working perfectly. I'm happy with my choice".

How much of a bargain will they be if you have to replace them after one riding season, or less?
