Loosen the nut, pull (1) pin, remove (4) cap screws holding cylinder, back off (2) clevis.
Reverse procedure and test. I had to move it about 1/8" from where the nut was cracked.

I actually like the brake pedal where it is on mine.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but then the forward controls on the 2018 softails are really more like mid controls.

I don’t mind the brake as much as I need to move my shifter so I can raise my foot more on the left. I’m not sure if I should lower it so my foot rests on top or raise it to give me more room.

Dealer told me yesterday that the "height" of the brake pedal on the '18 Fat Bob isn't adjustable?

The above is completely accurate.

They are incorrect.

BUT, to be fair, it isn't listed anywhere in the service manual, nor is it in PDI reference material. See the post above and happily adjust away...

I did this today by reading the instruction in another thread. I was worried about the same problem as @Moose328 informed here https://www.hdforums.com/forum/2018-...l#post18857190 I get managed to get safe 4 full turns. Of course, 5 full turns are also possible, but in that case, there will be not much thread left for secure holding it.
Three tips:
remove the brake pedal to be able comfortable turn clevis;
when assembling the brake pedal back the rod can be moved to sides (close to the engine) to put brake rod back;
mount the pin from the engine side that the pin retaining ring is on the outside of the brake rod. This will be easier to assembly back;
Before adjusting the brake pedal was 37 cm height (shift peg is 40 cm height). Now they are equal ;-)

The adjustment isn't too difficult. Remove the clevis pin. The nut on the bracket that attaches to the pedal is 15mm. Lift the arm up and over the pedal towards the bike so the bracket can turn. Take the rubber boot down towards the rear of the bike. Look in between the spring wires and there's a 10mm fitting. Put a 10mm open end wrench on the nut. Then adjust the 15mm nut clockwise (as you look at the back of the bike). Hold the 10mm secure and turn the 15mm wrench. You will have to decide when to stop. I moved mine about 1/8 an inch. Reattach the bracket to the brake pedal with the clevis pin and go for a ride.

Mine is like yours...too low.

The other two on our floor are up higher, a more natural position.

I've peeled back the rubber boot. Looks like it is threaded, but needs to come apart to adjust.

I'm installing floorboards on mine, so I'll be in there soon enough.
Hi beardo
What floor boards have you installed on your Fatbob? I have a 2019 model and i assume will be the same as the 2018.
Have you sorted the brake pedal angle on the foot brake? Im struggling its wound up as far as it goes but i still have to pivot my foot to apply rather that using the entire leg

Thanks for your assistance.
