Default 2018 softail, mysterious screw by the swing arm.

Does anyone know what this screw is used for? Its there on boths sides.

It should be there to align the wheel and adjust the belt...

It’s an axle adjustment screw. There should be another one on the other side. You use them to align your rear wheel.

That's your speed adjustment screw....tightening it will slow down the rear wheel from turning too fast.

Give em' a break guys. Some people simply don't know. No sense in giving people $hit about a simple question. Then they'll never ask for help again.

Amen UHDhog . I made the mistake of asking a question of the same nature on the mechanical forum . Was told to look in the owners manual . This person had never seen the owners manual for the 2018 FLHC , so I informed him it was not there . His response, buy a service manual . I too was under the impression that the forum was here to help each other . I guess some just don't play well with others . Others may just be having fun. But the problem is, it's had to tell the difference on the receiving end. It's all good .
