Default My New 2018 Heritage Anniversary 114

The bike rode and handled great. Why past tense? The bike made it 25 miles before going back to the dealer. It quit taking throttle and went into limp home mode. They found a broken wire, replaced the throttle body and various pin connectors in the electrical plugs. They still haven't figured it out and the factory tech is coming out tomorrow. I'll keep you posted. So far, this isn't the new bike experience I was hoping for.

Lovely bike.

My 114" Fat Bob did the same after about 600 miles. Luckily enough I figured out the problem by the side of the road.

Underneath the air filter is a connector that takes the signals from the throttle position sensors. That wasn't fully latched closed and had come open. I clicked it together and the bike was perfect again!

The Anniversary Moddle is a sweet looking bike. I'm sure your next ride home and rides to come will be much more enjoyable.

Keep us Heritage guys posted as to the why. We my need to know someday. Putting "adm's" fix into the memory banks.

Good luck from here on.

Ouch. Great looking bike though! I'm sure it'll get worked out soon. If it's not done in a few weeks I'd be asking for a different bike.

I was back at the dealer today and no new progress to report. The factory tech by noon still hasn't touched the bike yet. My old bike (that's no longer mine, a 2007 Street Glide with 96k miles) is still on their back lot. It was in the 70's this last weekend. I would have been riding on that bike. I'll keep you all posted with any developments on this.

Sorry to hear of opening day blues. I may be biased but it sure is a nice looking bike. I'm confident this will be resolved and you'll be on your way in no time and then long forgotten.
