Default Stickers on derby cover

I did a quick google on this but didn't really find anything conclusive.

How well do stickers / adhesive work on a smooth domed derby cover? Would the constant heat make the adhesive eventually fail?

I'm trying to do a low cost version of a custom derby cover as opposed to a $150 custom blah blah blah.

Best way to test is just buy you a vinyl decal you like and put it on. Give it a test run and see what it does.

Do you think a sticker will adhere flat on a domed derby cover?

I was gonna see if I could get a locally sourced shop to do me up a curved / rocker style 117 sticker as opposed to something square.

I dunno, just trying to do something to replace the factory 110 derby cover

The heat shouldn't bother the adhesive. Think about your vehicle most likely it has some molding or something that is adhesive on it. (most cars do trust me I work in a body shop)
the main problem to the sticker will be water and general road debris.

In the oil field everyone was always crazy about stickers on your hardhat. It told everyone how many jobs & companies you'd worked with.

Stick the thing on as flat as evenly and flat as you can, then take a lighter and hold it next to the sticker without blackening it. It'll take the shape of whatever it's adhered to. Our hardhats were a good bit more round than a derby cover.
