2018 FXFBS build Big MF'er Twist style...LOL
Yep, after a long 9yr forum hiatus (and out mobbin' the Street Glide)...I bought a new FXFBS to build. Building it Dyna club style. What I have ordered so far:
-ODC mid glide inverted front end w/radial brake mounts and GPR mount
-Ryd Ion blackline wheels & Metzeler tires w/ a matching pulley
-CHD handmade stainless steel exhaust (<-----NOT CHEAP!!!)
-Hardcase 9.5" riser set and Lucky Dave's riser bar
All that and a new Handy S.A.M. 1200 lift was just over $10k. So, once the cloud settles a bit, I will be ordering the rest:
-Brembo 108mm Monobloc GP4-RS radial mount calipers
-Lyndall black crown cut rotors
-Ohlins STX-46 rear monoshock
-Bung King custom crash bar and passenger pegs
-GPR V4 stabilzer
-Airo brake & clutch adjustable levers
-Saddlemen TR step-up seat
-either new cams or a 124 kit
And there will be a few other super secret things I will be doing to it as well. LOL Not gonna be a quick build, I gotta be patient!
I'll keep you posted on my progress!

Very interested to see how it turns out!
Harley Heaven, an Australian dealer put a 124 in the Fat Bob, and they clocked a 10.7-sec quarter mile with it. It's a fire-breather and it's had me interested in the FM124 kit once my factory warranty is up.

I've been keeping my eye out for the 124 kits. A 124 kit would be **** on this bike!!! And, hella fun!

There are 124" kits available for these bikes. IIRC, Suburban Speed have them.
I am waiting for warranty expiration before I go there though....
To the OP - I will follow this with interest. Why are you planning on changing out the front end, brake calipers and rotors though? They are already very good on this bike, although preload adjustment would be good.... Seems like a lot of cash for not a huge improvement.

About the front end...I thought about keeping the inverted tubes, getting better trees and doing an Ohlins cartridge. But, decided against it after discussing with a few gurus in the field. Also, I'm doing the swap because I can and it's what I want (not trying to come off wrong). Stock Harleys are just a blank canvas...I like to be different. The brakes should speak for themselves. Plus, I'll sell the take off parts to make up for some of what's spent.

I basically chose ODC over Kraus for the price. Can't really go wrong with either. I also like how ODC did their R&D for their front end specifically for Harleys. Also, because I didn't want gold inner fork tubes. LOL
