any 2018 SOFTAILS that have sumped?

I know there have been some 2018 touring bikes that have sumped but I am wondering if the differences in the softail motor has solved the sumping issue?

Don't know if there's been any, but the Softails are included in Harley's own service bulletin concerning sumping. Seems it happens when the engines are running at high revs for some length of time.

Curious too

I’ve been wondering this as well. I just picked up an ‘18 Fatboy S. Been reading about issues with the M8 in general. Has me a bit worried. Also I’m a bit disappointed in how the bike vibrates at speed. My SG’s I’ve had were very smooth around 80. Maybe the difference between touring and softtail?

Have not heard of any oiling related issues in any of the '18 Softails. My '18 Heritage 114 with the HD Torque cam and HD SE Tuner now at 5,000 miles has had a LOT of running at higher revs and has hit the revlimiter many times. One 3 mile stretch running at the bikes speed limiter,115 MPH indicated. Lots of 3rd and 4th gear running between 3,500 and 4,500 R's playing Sport Bike go fast with some of my crotch rocket friends. BTW, the bike stays right up with them because it runs and handles so well.

My bike uses no oil, does not Sump and has no oiling issues what so ever.

At least I got to see a new one (Sport Bob)
blowing oil back on what would be the oil
tank. Blow by I guess? Does the breather
still work the same?
All this time & the MoCo hasn't figured out
how to stop this

My Fat Bob had a bit of oil dripping from the air cleaner. I guess they still haven't solved the blow by issue. Want to modify the back plate to vent externally and prevent that from being sucked into the engine.
