2018 Fat Bob with HD/Blackmill aftermarket mods - reviews, lessons, and more to come

Emdx3, thanks for such a detailed mods review!
I have HD edge cut levers installed and they have pretty the same dimensions as oem chrome ones. I use L-size gloves (some models even M-size) and don't have any problems with braking and cluch.
V&H slip-ons really have good sound. But from 4000 and higher they are loud.
Just ordered Saddlemen step-up seat, will make a small review later.

The way you described the V&H is perfect for me. I want it to be decently loud when I get on it, but not too loud at idle.

You are welcome. The only doubt about slip-ons (any of them) is that they are not as good as full systems when making engine upgrade and remapping. I drive 107 model and after 500 miles started thinking about Stage 2 or 3 upgrade. If that idea came to me earlier, I would order a full exhaust system. Next upgrade for this summer - custom air cleaner from HD or V&H. Anybody knows are there any advantages of HD heavy breather perfomance cleaner (filter element faces forward) against usual round high-flow filters?

Just buy the one you like the look of that has plenty of exposed filter. I had a forward facing one on my last bike and liked it, but some people say the HD forward facing one on the new Softails interferes with their knees

I also like SE heavy breather, but $500 for the kit... By the way - I think that custom air cleaner is a must have option for 107 model paired with slip ons of course. OEM slip ons are one of two things I hated when looking on FatBob. Another one is a license plate (I have a European model).
