2018 Fat bob Can’t decide on exhaust
Hi guys thought I’d post a few pics of the pike and solicit some opinion on exhaust. Some background on the bike. I opted to go full stage 4 when I bought the bike. I couldn’t be happier with the way it rides but it’s much to quiet for my tastes. Bike just had its 1k service done and after speaking with the dealer I have a few options on the table.
(Please no discussion on warranty it’s taken care of)
1. I love the look of the Bassani radial sweepers. Best option for overall power and looks in my opinion. My very minor fear is it being a bit l loud for my wife while she’s on it with me. Also I leave for the gym before work at 430 am would feel marginally bad for my neighbors.
2. A set of slip on’s and have the cats removed and stock pipes and heat shields coated black.
Both options would be dyno tuned with a power vision.
Would love to to hear some feedback from those who have heard either option or both. I realize this stuff is very subjective but it’s fun to hear what others have to say.

ADM had the cat removed and runs S&S slip ons. Here is the link to his post about it. Also has a sound clip.

I have the S&S slip-ons myself and find they are loud enough (for me). I have the TBR exhaust sitting in a box since I planned for a full exhaust, but will probably sell it on since I am happy with the S&S slip ons and actually like the look of the OEM exhaust. Will do a cat removal in the near future.

Don't have a Fatbob but I do like D&D exhaust for the performance and quality. They have a few different version out now for your bike.

I ran the S&S Grand National slip on on the Street Rod I traded in for the FXFBS. It just so happens the dealer had already installed a pair of the same. They do not have the dB killers in them and, to my ears, sound great! Not too loud until you give it the juice. Nice deep tone to them as well. The build quality is way above the norm. Put 130 miles on the bike today and it didn't even feel like it needed a tuner.

Yeah i’ve Put 1200 on it. I don’t need anything. the thread was started for some fun discussion about diff exhaust people have seen or heard in person. Maybe post some sound clips. I def didn’t start it to listen to blow hards tell me to ride the bike more. Life’s not that serious. Thanks for you’re contribution.

I went with the Two Brothers slip ons. I ordered a month ago, still not here. Apparently there was an issue but its fixed and they should ship this week last i heard. Anyways. I dont like the way most of the full systems look on the fatbob. It doesn't fit the lines of the bike somehow. The stock exhaust is ok, its just that the mufflers are way too big. So i really liked the sound of the Two brothers on my sportster. Hoping I will enjoy it on this bike. The slip ons are nice and small so you can actually see the rear wheel! hahaha
