Maybe bad engine mounts? Do you feel it in the seat? The bars?

you would think that would vary with RPM, but it does not.

dropped off at Dealer with a detailed list of symptoms, attempted remedies, and things to check based upon this thread. If no joy, then Lemon Law

Lemon law does not apply here - you need to have a major component involved with multiple times repaired. You have a nuisance, granted its a pita but no lemon law

Ya know what it maybe and no im not nuts - you could have a slipping belt inside the tire and the rotation speed catches it just right. I had a bad tire about a year ago with a very similar issue

Nothing wrong with removing and inspecting the rear tire and rim. Might be that simple of a fix.

I'd want to ride another Breakout to see if it's one or all that do that.

2 things
* If its a slipping belt, its in the carcass, you cant see it. I had the tire rep tell me what it was
* And no, I've never heard of another Breakout doing this - my friends ride em..

Great Feedback guys. Dealer told me, they test drove it and nothing wrong.
My response was clear.
1. I wil not accept that this is "normal"
2. if you choose not to continue to investigate, then my recourse is to take it to my mechanic, if he fixes it, I am sending you the bill, else small claims court.
3. i can ride another new breakout, if same, then I will sell and and never look back to Harley again

The response.
1. It's between you and Harley
2. The tech's did not mean to say that, they meant they cannot diagnose. We have factory harley Reps that can come take a look.
2. We will not pay and you warranty void if you involve another mechanic.

Next action:
1. GM to verify they actually did check fall away and balance rear tire, if not then do it.
2. if they choose not to continue to investigate, then it's going to my mechanic

This is not something i am willing to accept.
it will be fixed, one way or another

Ride another Breakout - does someone have one near you? Given that test accept what it is or call BS based on what you experience between the rides?

I rode my 2018 Fat Boy to the dealer and drove a 2018 Deluxe home within an hour over the same route and ops. No comparison on the vibes...the Fat Boy was a shaker

Might need to go to another dealer as my ask did not result in a response. I feel somewhat guilty trying this route as no intention to buy. I don't know anyone with a 2018 Breakout...

When I rode my 2018 107 Fat Boy a month ago (no test ride - bought in winter) I had no special complaints about vibes. The mirrors blurred at speed but so did other pre-2018's I'd had before. It just didn't fit me as well as a Deluxe. After the changeout I realized I had either owned a shaker or the Deluxe is smoother for some reason. I've had 15 Harleys out of 60 bikes and the early non-Touring line did that somewhat.

So I'd try to take the time to confirm your choice isn't common to all Breakouts or maybe Fat Boys with the 240 tire. If yes then the path is clear. Sell or trade the problem with the bike and move on. If you got a one bike issue then maybe HD's tech support can intervene "We have factory harley Reps that can come take a look."

When an experienced HD mechanic says normal, to me it means it's within the potential range of vibes they experience routinely. The important part is sharing that "range". Some are better, others worse for example.

Edit: Another vibration-related thread from here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...vibration.html
