Yes there is more power thru the complete range because of all 3. I road bikes for 30 yrs and then stopped for 20yrs, I bought this bike to use on back roads and wanted more sound from the bike, I don't race but like to wrench my bikes so I did this . I did take it thru the gears and shifted 1st to 2nd at 5500rpm and the bike got squiggly, I went back and saw a 8 foot patch of rubber so yes this bike has plenty of oomph thru out the power range.
I like the pipe because it's fairly quiet when cruising but when I throttle it, it does roar.

What I meant was that on 1the bike was probably bottoming out so as I move the #'s up I am getting more spring action, yes it is getting stiffer, just trying to find the sweet spot.

I love the new suspension on the low rider with one criticism. Unless I crank it up to 5 (1-7), it will bottom very harshly on RR track crossings or bad pavement irregularities. These same spots posed no problems to any of my other bikes. I will say that even with the sharp whack of the suspension bottoming, the chassis seamed to stay composed. No one else seams to make this complaint, maybe my rear shock is defective. According to the owners manual, I should be on 3 or 4, but that will have it bottoming once or twice each ride.
