2018 softail (Heritage Classic) slip-ons VIDEO
Hey folks,
I thought I'd do a comparison video between the V&H slip ons I had on my Heritage and the more recent set of generic 'tulip' slip ons I'm currently favouring:
In a nutshell...
V&H - quality s great, really nicely made and feel premium, BUT I find the sound a bit too 'muffled' and (very slightly) sound more like a truck than a Harley
Generic tulips - sound no louder (or quieter) than the V&H, but look great and I think give a better 'old school Harley' sound. AND they're cheap, like £90/pair. AND they can take any old generic baffle, so you can tinker with the sound a bit.
You do need to make up a simple bracket to fit the tulips and you have to buy the new exhaust gaskets for the 2018's reduced OD headers (about another £40)

Sure
Here you go
Remember you'll need to buy the gaskets (part No. 65900017) too - I bought mine here
