Down side to Scenic is one has to buy the maps, which would cost around $35 or $40 bucks to get the entire US. Granted one might not need the entire US but it's good to have. I've used the HD trip planner, and Google Maps. I prefer Google Maps. For simple point to point I really like Waze. Not sure if you can build a route there or not.
