Default Lowered and installed 12in apes on my 2018 Slim

Hey guys, I just had 12in Hell Bent ape hangers installed with the progressive 465 series shock. I also had some black brake and clutch levers installed as well. I’m definitely happy with the way it came out. I was told the new shock would lower the back end at least one inch but it seems like more. I don’t think the pictures really do it much justice. It’s funny because I thought the bike would ride stiffer with the new shock but it’s completely the opposite!! The bike seems to ride and feel much better on the road now with the new shock rather then the stock one. The bars feel great!! And I definitely like the way they look as well!!

Thank you so much for the kind words guys, I really do appreciate that!!!
Yes, I do agree Hey Man. These bars do look bigger then 12’s in the pictures. I’m heading out to get my family some breakfast, I’ll put a tape measure on them when I get home. It’s funny because I’ve always heard that after you add apes to your bike, you always regret not going a little taller. It’s only been a couple of days but so far I’m very happy with this height and probably wouldn’t go any bigger............. not yet anyway LOL

bike looks so much better with the ape bars, did you do the job yourself or did you take it the dealer, also do you have the parts list numbers of the cable extensions ,I am planning on going with some 12inch bars but I want to do it myself,
if you had the dealer do it ,how much did he charge you. reason I ask is because I am in NY as well and if I can get them done for a decent price I will have a dealer do them

Hay SandMan, thank you very much, I appreciate that!! I didn’t do the job myself, I had my local dealer (eastern Harley) do it. Mike the owner is a great guy!! He makes it easy for me to decide to just have them do the work. He did the Hell Bent bars, brake and clutch cables, black clutch and brake levers with installation for $1000 he did the progressive shock with install for $700. When I did the math it would have cost me close to that to do it myself. I don’t have the parts list but I can ask mike and let you know.
