Advice for Clutch Cable Rubbing
Hey,
I recently had a pair of 12" Wild1 Outlawz put on my bike. I just realized the other day that there is some apparent rubbing of the clutch cable against the handlebar tube, which is wearing at the powder coat. Does any one know of a product that might adhere to the surface to protect the powdercoat finish? I can imagine that after one season of this wear, there will be bare metal exposed. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...659dcac73f.jpg |
Do you have the proper size cables they maybe a little short check your length plus there is all kinks of clips and hanging devises out here you just have to find the right one. Your dealer should be able to help with your problem

Hey thanks! It seems to be of the proper length. I don't have any resistance while turning the bars in any direction. Again, I didn't do the install myself, so I don't claim to be an expert. Using my untrained eye, I would look to have enough slack. I was think that if there was some type of like adhesive like Teflon wear-bar that would be perfect. I'll probably stop by the dealership once this Chicago weather decides to behave :(

They sell a clip that mounts to the downtube...also re-run the cable to the outside of the bars
