Default Ignition Barrel tumbler

Hey everyone, I just bought 99 FLSTC and the tumbler comes out with the key. Do I need a new switch or is there a fix? I don’t see any retaining tabs to hold it in place. Thanks!

You need a new switch. The pin and spring are gone.

Ok, I never had one a part but I guessing that something was broken or missing. Thanks!

Will do. Stopped by my local Harley-Davison dealer today and new switch with keys is $129.00. Not too bad for genuine HD part.

$129?? That's way to much. A couple of years ago I replace my ignition switch and it cost $60. It's not keyed the same, but that no big deal. You just have two keys. Does the $129 price include rekeying?

Edit: Do some searching online. The prices are better than what I paid and after market switches are even better than that..
