Default 98 Heritage Softail Classic randomly dies

I have a 1998 FLSTC and it will die randomly. Sometimes I'll be turning, sometimes I'll be taking off from a stop, sometimes it'll die when it idles. Sometimes if I randomly twist the throttle, it'll die. Is it a carb problem? I came from a fuel injected Hayabusa to this bike. Not familiar with carbed bikes. If it matters, I haven't done any maintenance on this bike yet. I plan on replacing the plugs, plug wires, etc. Any advice on this subject is appreciated!

How low is the idle set? It could be a carb problem, float might be set a bit low, dirt in the float bowl, up to a full carb rebuild., Good luck, Ride safe.
