who is it everyone suggests on here to modify a seat

I know I have seen the name over and over but I cant remember who it is.
would like to find out if I can modify my seat on my Heritage to get a different cover put on it and make the passenger pillion a little more comfortable for the wife.

biggest issue she has with the seat we have on the bike is she moves around some on it, its just somewhat slick being leather or vinal or whatever its called

I have used Mean City Cycles, and they do very good work.... If you live fairly close to them, disregard the rest of my post...

I am in no way trying to disparage Mean City Cycles... I live in SoCal and shipping my seat there and back, along with a needed adjustment they performed... again there and back, was pretty costly.... The seats aren't heavy, but they are bulky and not cheap to ship across country. Buy the time I was done, I had paid enough money to have purchased a premium seat...

Mean City Cycles are very good at what they do... but forgive me, while it is a talent, it's not rocket science. There are probably 100s of very competent, experienced, and talented guys all across the US doing this type of work...

Shortly after my experience, I spoke with a friend who had wanted his seat modified. He found, through an independent shop, the name of a guy who was a local leather upholstery guy, who specializes in motorcycle seats. The guy was incredibly talented. He did a great job on my friend's seat, both visually and ergonomically......

My point is that if you want your seat modified, always check to see if there is a local guy who can do the job.... most local, talented guys have no websites or big shops and get their business by word of mouth.

If you HAVE to ship a seat, give Mean City Cycles a shot, but don't forget to check local first...
