Throttle is sticky-pulled the cover off the throttle control and cant figure out how to get to the cable-im assuming they run through the bar-first Harley I had with a throttle set up like this with no visible cables or adjustment. Can I get a little help please?!

 

Pretty sure 2017 is throttle-by-wire, so there should be a sensor in the handgrip that sends an electrical signal to the throttle body of the engine. You might want to look at a different possible cause.

 

Yeah it's throttle by wire just like my 2017 Fat Boy. If it's sticky need to look at throttle grip sticking or the throttle potentioneter located inside right handbar. Or maybe the throttle body itself has a problem.

i sprayed some cable lub around the inside of the grib and into the plastic piece attached to the bar but no result-ill play with it some more--thanks

 

How could a problem in the throttle body cause the throttle to be sticky?

 

I didn't know if the grip was actually sticking or if it just wasn't idling down which could make him think it was a cable. Make sense?
