04 FXSTS Hot Stalling
Went to the dealer last week to drop off the old title and talked with the service dept, turns out they found the issue.
The PO had a 2-1 pipe on the FXSTS that was not properly installed, in fact, it was actually making solid contact with the cam chest and when it would get hot, would overheat the engine oil and the case. The pipes were probably only a few days old, and the problem was likely there the since the install (who knows when). This is what was causing such a high heat issue that further caused the gas to boil in the lines. They had some V&H pipes laying around and threw them on the bike, rode it for 3 hours straight, no stalling or chugging.
I'm still staying with the Dyna though..
