2010 Softail Deluxe (FLSTN) **HEAT**
So I made a thread on here late last year when I had problems with my softail not wanting to start sometimes.
Battery is new, and all my connections seem fine, fluids are fine as well.
This year, when I changed all my fluids I decided to change out the starter relay, thinking that might be it.
Yesterday I went out for a ride. It was 100 degrees in Chicago.
Started right up in the morning, and got to work (19 mile commute) no problem.
Left work at the end of the day and right as I pulled into my garage, it died on me. It was still very hot out, and man I could feel the engine being pretty damn hot.
Tried to start it up and it just would not catch, so I just pushed it into its usual resting place.
Gave it about 5 minutes and turned the ignition to on, fuel pump comes on, check engine light goes away, hit start. Starter turns, still doesn't fire. Engine, still hot.
Went out there this morning, engine is cool, and starts up no problem.
Any of you guys experienced something similar?? What was your fix?

That's an interesting thought on the compression releases.
I just think it's something broken, a sensor, or something. Because it ran fine for a good chunk of last year.
I did notice that one of the clamps towards the bottom of my frame had come apart.. I'm suspecting I might've hit something after lowering the back end.
But yea, stock motor. Samson true duals with baffles. Everything else is just cosmetic.
So I guess I'll just be riding my backup Sporty instead.
The garage thing was actually funny. It was totally a "Herbie" moment.
Good kid. Got me home first.
