Default Rear Turn Signal Relocation Kit

Anybody on this forum installed the Rear Turn Signal Relocation Kit themselves?
I was wondering if you really need a floor jack or can it be done without raising the frame?

I'm not sure what you are up to, but if you are doing something that requires you to remove the bolts from the fender struts, try not to take them all out at once. If you do, sometimes it is a little difficult to get them stabbed back.

Did you buy the kit yet? I bought one years ago and was really disappointed with it, never used it.

Can you force your fingers between the tire and fender on the left side? I have a lift and used it part of the time. When the bike is on the lift you will have a tad more room to get to the inside of the fender. I had nut-plate straps that had to be held in place, as I switched bolts. When I started without using the lift, my fingers were squeezed so tight between the tire and fender it felt like it was going to amputate them.

Yep I've bought it, it just moves the turn signals to another hole about 1/2 inch back. What a pain in the ***. But ya have to have it to install detachable sideplates. I think the Rigid plates don't require it.
Its for my '07 Night Train.

no you dont need a floorjack i put them on my 06 fatboy. My wife loves the sissy bar when she rides with me. I dont like the look of it so i like to be able to remove it the other 95 percent of the time. I looked at my instructions and it does not call for a floorjack to be used. I just did one side at a time. play close attention to where it tells you to cut the wire. if you cut it to close to the light end makes it a pain to put it back together. for this reason i sodered the wires and used heat shrink instead of the butt connecters they provided. (no i didnt make the same mistake twice but once it did it the first time i figured the heat shrink was better anyway so did the other side the same way) email if you have any questions.

You're right, me and my dad were just up there today and the relocation kit is not required with the rigid plates, but it is with the detachable plates.
