Scumbag amazon seller!!

not the right forum I know, but I just wanted to vent.

I was looking to try a new seat for my bike and found an Amazon seller for a mustang wide vintage seat - $300. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit so I contacted them to ask about return policy etc, and they said if it doesn't fit, just return it.

So, it didn't fit and I returned it where they only refunded half of my money because it was scratched underneath (very light scratching). and yet, they are selling the exact seat described as "Used like new" for the same price as a brand new one. If it was so damaged that they would only refund half my money, how is it they are able to offer it as "new"....scum bags!!

Go bitch to Amazon.

Well, Amazon isn`t exactly upfront about how they represent things either. Plus, they leave out details or hide them in "fine print". No excuse, but they could be more upfront. I just returned items I ordered early this month (April 2nd) when I realized they were coming from China, as well as shipping from there is pretty much at a standstill. My bad, though. I`ll be more careful in the future.... :icon_munching:

I will look into that, thank you. I would have been happy to pay a re-stocking fee for example, but to be told it's now only worth $150 and yet see them selling it for $300, p****s me off.

I understand! I recently had to return a computer that was completely dead-on-arrival. Returned it, got only 50% back! I explained to Amazon that I had to buy another one (from another seller, via them, which I did) and that I didn't "change my mind" or something stupid. It didn't work. How could I be expected to pay a 50% restocking fee on a DEAD item? Amazon did make it right, fortunately. Took a few days, but you buy a $1200 dead computer, you want $1200 back!

Had our share of fubar transactions with sellers or shipping from Amazon but they have made good on everyone of them, may take a few weeks or so but it was always handled.

Lesson I learned pretty quick was soon as you suspect it's going sideways jump on the on-line chat and go from there, quickest way I've found.

Many many seat manufactures and resellers explicitly state that once a seat is installed, it cannot be returned. The thing to do is to place a towel under the seat and then try it on that way to keep from scratching it up..
