I have a 2008 Fatboy with the stock 2 piece seat.
I found a 1 piece Mustang seat for sale , their web site says it will fit .
Does anyone have any experience in the install of one of these.
It seems I could just remove the center mounting studs ?
I need a softer seat.

Not sure this is really going to help you, but I will offer it up anyway.
I have a 2002 FB and it came with a Mustang seat that was a full rider and passenger seat, one piece. It fit my 2002 and all the way up to 2010. It did not use the two bolts to fasten it to the bike like the OEM rider seat with two bolts, one on each side on the lower edge of the seat. It had a metal tab that indexed in the front and used the one bolt in the middle of the rear fender for the one and only mounting bolt.
Again, not sure if that helps.

I sold my 2005 fatboy but kept the 1 pc Mustang seat, the original seat was a 2 pc. Still for sale if interested
I have a 1 piece Mustang on my '09 FatBoy for about 2 years. Love it. Install is simple and you actually get some good lower back support from the taller passenger seat.
You won't go back to the stock seat !
