Another heat/oil post . . . Sorry!!
Just for what it's worth. My wife's 03 FI Heritage (has VH Straight shots and K&N A/F--dealer installed w/new-did download) anyhow, we have the oil temp sticks in the oil tanks. On any given day her bike will run 20-30 deg hotter than my 00 carb model. Now granted if there is gray area btwn lean & rich, mine is on the rich side, but I can't help but think her bike is still a tad too lean. it seems to run good. Backfires thru the exh once in awhile.

First exchange the dip stick gauges (between bikes) to see if it's a gauge problem. If problem persists re dyno and fatten hers up (the bike you dirty old man!), hope it works just swapin gauges.
