Custom paint bike painted by Harley it self
Hi,
I've heard that during the 90s Harley runned a so called Custom Paint program where customers would ask Harley to paint it with some colours they had choose and I think also they were supplying for a decal to be painted in it. Am supposed to own one of those, but first I'd like to check if this is true or not and where I can find more details on this program? thanks |
Post a pic of your bike, include year and model
I`m reading the `01 P&A catalog , it states: " Radical Custom Collection" These were numbered sets with custom graphics " Select Custom Series" These were a limited selection of optional colors but not numbered "Spectrum Custom Paint" Mix and match colors and pinstripes on your metal or buy replacements . Makes no mention of choosing decals I recall earlier that you could order "some" optional colors from the factory when ordering a new bike to avoid having 2 sets of sheet metal |

FWIW:
That decal is the same style as the one on `87 FXR`s The placement makes me think aftermarket paint job ( I could be wrong ) `93 offered in Black with red & orange pinstripes Here are the `93 decals https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...a24865906f.jpg |
