Check this web page. You can download the instructions before you buy the product.

I read their instructions that's why I didn't buy it.....wires between moving parts doesn't turn me on! This is what I'm waiting for:

MIT's wireless electricity demoed, dubbed WiTricity
We always knew Tesla was right: MIT physics professor Marin Soljacic and his team of researchers behind the latest wireless electricity scheme have reportedly demoed their magnetically coupled resonator technology on a 60-watt lightbulb that wasn't plugged in. Of course, no technology should be without a name, and so they've dubbed it WiTricity. Apparently Soljacic thinks it's possible to commercialize WiTricity within the next few years, which would be totally amazing if it was powered by Steorn's humanity-saving infinite energy device.

My has no light. I cut the plastic tag holder off of the tail light mount and the stock tail light shines the whole deal up nice. My mount is solid steel and it was $15.

Yes, I can see why you are waiting for wireless electrical for a side mount. Hell, those thousands of people who use them as ismust be absolute morons when they wire them up and probably wire right around all pivot points on the suspension vs. avoiding them. What do they know. They should all have waited like you.
