Great Question!!! I was told that the big bore 103 kit from SE is not worth the cash from HD. There are alot of engine mods and advise from HD forums, but I have to wait until warrenty is not a consideration anymore.
Most of all its expensive, Find a great shop or mechanic, Im sure the deal will be much better without going through HD dealer.

bump compression to 10.5to1 or 11to1 compression and upgrade cams to match, should notice a huge difference and for reasonable $$. my opinion.

if you do any mod like that you'll need a PC III or a sert anyway I've heard cams would
give the most bang for you buck, plus you not taking the whole top half of the motor
apart jus' my .02 ;)
Oh yah welcome, to the dark side come on in to the Night Train Picture Thread lots tips and tricks in there plus all the night trains you can handle.

Cams, Heads, big bore EFI ,Thunder max.
Remember your motor is counterbalanced
so you just cant spin harder to get more HP
Just make it a Tourque Monster.

I went with the 103 stage 2 big bore kit with 255 cams.I bought the kit off ebay for $600.Had it installed at Battlefield HD, they also ported the heads and throttle body, they charged me $1093. The bike dyno'd 101 HP and 115 TQ. Id say it was worth-it

Those are some serious numbers. You got your Dyno sheet? They would look more impresive on paper. I want to do motor work when my warranty runs out next year. That would be a pretty good road map on how to get there.
