07 08 Heads on my 06 Deluxe

Any reason I couldn't use the heads from an 07 or 08 on my 06 Deluxe. I'm looking to do a Big Bore and some Head Porting but would rather send a spare set off rather than take my bike down. I see alot of 07 and 08 heads and Cylinders for sale.

Also if I they do work can I use the heads from any model ?

Once I'm done I would sell the stock parts to recoup some of the cost.

'07 or '08 softail heads would definitely fit, dunno about other models, but I don't see why they would be any different.
are you sure it's not cheaper to buy pre-worked aftermarket heads tho?
the new heads are still restrictive ( though less so ), and would still need a bunch of work.

My plan is to send them out for a street port which should be alot cheaper than buying a set of performance heads - -I think....
