Deuce luggage rack weight question
 

I've got the stock sissy bar/luggage rack for my Deuce. I've carried the Kuryakyn roll bag on it (it looks like I'm stealing a hibachi but hey whatever works). I've recently adapted the mounting plate for my Givi E450 hard trunk bag. Fits perfect, works perfect, waterproof, looks like a bigger hibachi.

Whatever the case (mind the pun), it, along with my saddlebags, are more than enough for me to pack for any trip I want to go on. I just wondered if anyone has ever really loaded down this luggage rack. I'm guessing the Givi bag, loaded, is probably getting upwards of 15 pounds when you add shoes, etc.

Any thoughts? I don't want the bolts snapping and this thing bouncing off my back fender before careening down the highway. Anyone loaded the crap out of their sissy bar luggage rack?

I took my "warning sticker" off but I beleive it was rated @ 25 lbs. I use the T Bag full helmet bag.

Thank-you. I don't think that Givi, loaded, has ever been more than 20 pounds. That was when it was the only piece of luggage I had - now I can stuff gear into saddlebags, so only my clothes will go in it.

As a funny aside, I went to the Givi website, and they say that particular Givi case is only rated for 3kg. 7 pounds? That's hilarious. What happens after that? Clothing grenade?

we'll know what happen to ya, if we dont hear from ya again, I think its the same aganecy that regulates the matress tags.
