Thanks for the step by step. Now you need to change your signature picture.

I had a heck of a time tracking down the 5/16x24 bolts. The nuts were found more easily, but I could not find a bolt with 2" of threads for anything. Then I checked ACE and found the chrome nuts and bolts. You don't need a chrome bolt as it is covered, however it was the only one I could find that worked. I paid $4.99 each for the bolts, but it is still cheaper than a lightbar.

Nice. Mine came like that used. The only difference is whoever did mine ran the wires through a hole on the side above the siganl as opposed to through the back like yours. Looks great WARG. Your bike is really sweet.

thanks anubiss, your ride was one of the ones that inspired the modification. It actually makes my apes look taller, which I like.

Thinking of doing this myself, just wondered is it possible to put a sleeve over the nuts to cover them giving a cleaner look.

Thanks.

Probably would be if you could find the sleeve, however you wouldn't want the diameter to be too big, because it wouldn't match up well with the turn signal. Some guys have used chrome spacers instead of nuts and used blue locktite to lock it in place. I chose the nuts b/c I don't want any chance of them moving, plus I found chrome ones, so I think they look good.
