I installed floorboad extenders on my deluxe today. What a difference!
I wish I would have put them on the day I bought bike. Truly a major difference in riding comfort.

 

If you're talking about the Harleygoodies, I've been trying to talk my wife into putting those on her Deluxe but she insists she likes the boards where they're at. As you said big difference on my Heritage.

You may drag the boards a bit more on the Deluxe now. I'm a conservative rider and didn't notice any difference.

 

+1, I have the harley goodies on my bike and love them. Also Tom is top notch to deal with.

I put them on my wife's 09 Heritage but being her bike had been lowered she scraped the floorboards all the time in turns and she had a issue accessing the jiffy stand. So I installed them on my 2010 Heritage and I love them. I see no need for an engine guard, it allows me to move my feet in various positions to get comfortable on longer trips. Its a winner.....

 

I have been running these for years. Well worth the price of admission and the least expensive mod I have done to date. Get them for her and install them. Don't tell her and see what she says. My wife insisted everything was perfect on her bike until I repalced her bars and she realized that changing things can really make things much more comfortable.
