I just bought a "leftover" 07 deluxe at my dealer for 16500, if I were you I would opt for the 95 motor and the 6 speed tranni, that is probably your best bet, look around at some various dealers---I am sure you can find a 07 for "respectivly" the same deal---take your time dude, the bigger motor and 6 speed tranny are why a lot of people have traded up---good luck on your purchase and try to have fun with whatever you get----ride safe---Cap

 

Thanks for all of the replys. I am just looking right now, but I love the color of that bike. I thought 17k was a little high and would def talk him down on the price. I am not sure what mufflers are on it. He was just showing it to me because I said that I want a Deluxe for my next bike. I could really care less if it has the 88 or 96 ci engine, no 6th speed doesn't bother me. I am not a highway rider, so it wouldn't get used that much anyway.

Thanks again for all of the replys and hoepfully the dealer still has it towards fall (I am waiting to go full time at my job and that will be happening around then). If he doesn't I will just have to look for another, but I LOVE the green on the bike.

have an 07 deluxe love more than my wife,lol! it ia great ride put 1800 miles on mine in 4 days with stock seat,not bad ,i paid15900 fo mine new without the taxes orshipping cost but it too was ,managers special,if you can find an 07 try or wait,it won'y be long before 09's are out3 months heck of lot better than a spoerster ride is awesome deluxe,1300-1500 otd on the green one would be ok but 6 speed is why i gotmine greenblk color also was one of those colors that you can only get ever so often cost about 850 more than red or drk cherry,any way good luck

the warranty is important with that kind of investment. The factory warranty was only 2 years and may be up. get it in writing.

 

Sorry, but 15k sound more reasonable with a warranty. If your going to pay 17k for an 06, save a bit more to get a brand new one with a 2 year warranty. Good luck with your decision.

 

Offer 15k, you will dig that color. It was only produced from January to March of 06. I ordered one from the factory I think that paint set cost a little more than 1K extra, but in my mind it was worth it.
