Fluid capacity on a 06 Fatboy

Hey guys, I just ordered a HD repair manual, it will come in a few days. I want to know the fluid capacity on Engine, Tranny and primary case, I will change the primary case and tranny oil tomorrow. It is a 06 Fatboy, thanks Alex

RE: Fluid capacity on a 06 Fatboy

I have a 2005 Fat Boy. The 2005 Softail service manual states:
Oil holds 4 quarts, but manual states: Don't put more then 3-1/2 qts. in when changing.
Note from me:&nbsp\\;Make sure your engine has been warmed up before draining the oil. I didn't the first time and only got about 2-1/2 quarts to drain out. I would check how much came out before adding the new oil. Put in a bit less then 3 quarts, let the bike warm up then add whatever amount to bring oil level to full mark on dip stick.
Check engine oil level with bike on jiffy stand.
Primary: 32 ozs.
Transmission: 20-24 ozs. check with bike sitting upright, off jiffy stand.
